Volunteer with us

Throughout the year we look for enthusiastic helpers to join us in running and developing the farm. Our aim is to connect with the local community so if you live nearby and would like to volunteer in exchange for fresh produce, please contact us. For those who live further away we provide accommodation via the Workaway system. Click below to check out our profile.

Location

Volunteering at Pandy Farm gives you the opportunity to explore a truly special and dynamic place. From walking in the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia to swimming in the hidden lakes, to relaxing on the beaches of Anglesey or visiting the castle of Conwy, there is something for everyone in this area.

Learning

There is a huge amount of practical knowledge for volunteers to gain at Pandy Farm. You might learn how to care for chickens, to grow fruit and vegetables, to construct a building, to use farm equipment, to build sturdy walls and fences. There’s also opportunities to learn about the local plant, fungi, reptile and fauna biodiversity.

Fresh Food

Our volunteers have the opportunity to not just learn new things at Pandy, but also to have access all year ‘round to a huge range of fresh, naturally grown food. Food security in uncertain times is one of the greatest gifts that the land can offer and eating well, straight from the gardens, is a luxury that cannot be beat!

Type of work

We ask our Workaway volunteers for a minimum of four weeks commitment and 25 hours work per week. In return we will provide accommodation, food and plenty of delicious farm produce. Local volunteers work in exchange for fresh produce and the opportunity to learn on a working farm.

The work required will be varied, mostly outside in gardens, looking after ducks and chickens and building and maintenance work around the farm. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact us.

Previous volunteers say…

“The work was really varied from helping out with the chickens, planting onions, to helping with media and design. To anyone who wants to be part of a strong community, work on a socially conscious project, be in a beautiful location and surrounded with wonderful people: volunteer at Pandy Farm!”

Ellen and Jess, 2023

“Arriving as a stranger, leaving as what feels like a family member and unified friends. This was a rich experience, where I could try my hand at sustainable agriculture, and getting close to the process of land-based living, vision questing for a brighter future, and really feeling like a better future is possible here.”

Alex, 2023

“I instantly felt at home because of their naturally warm and welcoming personalities. The work is very rewarding, outdoors in the fresh Welsh air with a view of the mountains from the veg garden. The surrounding area is stunning, a 15-20 minute drive gets you into the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Thanks for having me, I'll definitely be back!”
